The same is true for asbestos-containing materials in a building.

Asbestos Awareness Programs

in DVD format

Asbestos Awareness: Living with a Rattlesnake
and
Asbestos Awareness: Don’t Wake a Sleeping Bear

Asbestos Awareness: Living with a Rattlesnake and Asbestos Awareness: Don’t Wake a Sleeping Bear are both on the same DVD! The asbestos information is the same in both -- you can switch back and forth to add some variety to your training courses. The programs are now available in English or Spanish.

Each Asbestos Awareness Program is about 40 minutes in length (English version) and 55 minutes (Spanish version). They provide the core of a two-hour awareness course for:

  • Custodians, maintenance workers and others who might contact asbestos-containing materials or who work near them (OSHA Construction Industry Class IV and General Industry)
  • Maintenance workers who might disturb asbestos-containing materials and will receive an additional 14 hours of training (OSHA Construction Industry Class III)

These Asbestos Awareness Programs cover the topics required by OSHA and EPA for awareness training –  see the Preview for details.

  • Part One - Properties and health effects of asbestos fibers
  • Part Two - Types and uses of asbestos materials
  • Part Three - Locations of asbestos materials
  • Part Four - Damaged and deteriorated asbestos materials

Both versions have identical information on asbestos and are professionally narrated. The DVD also contains an on-screen Instructor’s Guide. Both versions available on DVD in English or Spanish.
