The “Let me help you” option

If you don’t have the time, resources or inclination to create the web pages that form the core of the Customized Compliance Program for Asbestos, or would prefer to have me do this and other work needed to set up and maintain the program, these arrangements are easily made.

The same pricing applies for this option as for the "Do-it-yourself" option: $995 per facility including six hours of time for tech support, with additional tech support available at $100/hour.

Setting up the program so it meets your needs requires that he learn about your facility and asbestos management program in some detail. For example. he will need
• Information on your buildings including how many contain asbestos-containing materials, their location, size, function and approximate age;
• Information on how you collect and maintain asbestos survey data, including copies of the files if you use an electronic database to store the records;
• Pictures of asbestos-containing materials in your facility that shows the rooms or areas where they are installed. He can take these pictures or instruct your staff on how to do it;
• Assessments of the asbestos-containing materials according to the ASTM E2356 Standard Practice for Comprehensive Building Asbestos Surveys,* which he can do on a site visit or your staff can do with his help and some training;
• Floor plans that can be any scannable drawing (such as for fire evacuation) or AutoCAD files;
• Copies of your O&M procedures, preferably in the form of files that can be incorporated in the CCPA or linked to on your computer or server;
• Historical abatement cost data, if you have it for your own facility. If it is proprietary it will be protected appropriately.

Using this information, Andy Oberta will prepare the web pages and other files that comprise your version of the CCPA. Along with tutorials on how to use the program, he will either deliver the files to you on a CD or flash drive, or post them on the Environment-i-media website where you and those you designate will have access for previewing the program. If you want to put the program on your own server you can use a File Transfer Protocol to transfer the files for posting to your own website.

Setting up and using the CCPA will be a team effort and you may find that the services of your asbestos consultant and IT staff or contractor will be needed to make the program function properly. Experience has shown that an effective way to get started is for Andy Oberta to spend some time at your facility to install the CCPA software and train your staff or consultants on using the program. By the end of this visit, you will have the Initial Set-up for your facility well under way.

* The quantitative protocol in ASTM E2356 is different from – and superior to – any other assessment technique you may have used. You can order the standard from www.astm.org and the CCPA comes with complete instructions for using it.

If you're ready to order the CCPA, download the Application for License and e-mail or fax it. If you need more time to think about it, download it anyway.You are stroingly encouraged to contact me at (800) 668-1368 / (512) 266-1368, or CCPA@environment-i-media.com before submitting the application or of you have any questions about the program and pricing,

If you would rather do most of the work yourself, including creating and maintaining the web pages and supporting documentation, take a look at the "Do-it-yourself" option.
