The Customized Compliance Program for Asbestos in Schools has been developed specifically for use by Local Education Agencies that follow the EPA Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) regulations. This version of the program helps an LEA to comply with AHERA as well as applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations. It also follows an ASTM consensus standard for assessment of asbestos-containing building materials (ACBM).
